CCH to auction off 73 goods Oct 16: Official

The Chittagong Customs House (CCH) will auction off 73 kinds of goods, including acid, chemicals and combustible substances which have remained stuck at the port for a long time, on October 16 next.

An official at the CCH said, 73 categories of goods will be auctioned off on Oct 16 as importers of the goods did not take delivery of the same after unloading at the port a long time ago despite they were repeatedly asked to do so by the authority concerned.

The stuck up goods are:- cars, different kinds of acid including nitric acid, lubricant oil, safety raggers, palm oil, garment fabrics, machinery of rice mills, flower stands, duplex boards, fabrics, Iset mold, metal frames, washing chemicals, finishing agents, advertising sample, smart phone and phone packs, LED TV, potassium hydroxide, black oil, thinner, hydraulic oil and different equipment and tools.

Bidders can collect from Wednesday application forms for participating at the auction from CCH auction branch in the port city, including Majhirghat, and its Dhaka office in Motijheel Commercial Area. The auction papers sale will end on October 11. The time of submitting the papers is from 9am to 2pm on October 12 and 13.

When contacted, Deputy Commissioner of CCH Santosh Soren said, "Auction of the 73 goods will be held on Oct 16."
