The Chittagong City Corporation (CCC) is set to set up the first software technology park in the port-city to help achieve the government's Vision 2021.
To this end, CCC signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on Wednesday with the Bangladesh Hi-Tech Park Authority (BHTPA) under the Ministry of Posts, Telecommunications and IT.
CCC Chief Executive Officer Md Shamsuddoha and BHTPA Managing Director Hosne Ara Begum signed the MoU at a ceremony at the Radisson Blu Bay View hotel in the city.
CCC Mayor A J M Nasir Uddin attended the function as the chief guest.
Chittagong WASA Managing Director A K M Fazlullah, Chittagong University Professor Dr Hanif Siddiqui, and BHTPA Project Director Azizul Islam were also present on the occasion, among others.
The city mayor in his speech said CCC will establish the software technology park on five floors of its Singapore-Bangkok Market in Agrabad area.
