BSCIC suspends taking service charge from industries

The authorities of Bangladesh Small and Cottage Industries Corporation (BSCIC) decided to suspend taking service charges for three months from the industrial units located at BSCIC Industrial Estates, official said.

The BSCIC took the decision last week following the outbreak of pandemic coronavirus in the country that has forced the industrial units to shut down.

“We have decided to suspend taking service charges from the industrial units for the month of April, May and June,” a director of BSCIC told the FF on Saturday.

He said that they have taken the decision as per the directives of the ministry of industries.

He, however, said that the industrial units have to pay utility bills like power, water and gas to the respective authorities.

There are 76 BSCIC Industrial Estates located at different areas of the country.
