Bangladesh to benefit from Brazil's wind-power experience

Brazil on Sunday has expressed eagerness to share its knowledge of wind power with Bangladesh.

Brazilian Ambassador in Dhaka Joao Tabajara De Oliveira Junior made the offer when he met State Minister for Power and Energy Nasrul Hamid at his office on Sunday.

The Brazilian envoy said there is a good opportunity for Bangladesh to gather experience from windmills in Brazil.

Oliveira Junior said Bangladesh should organise a roadshow on its development plan to attract the Brazilian investors.

Both Bangladesh and Brazil can exchange representatives which will benefit bilateral trade and business, he said, reports UNB.

Nasrul Hamid said an investment-friendly environment is prevailing in Bangladesh where Brazilian investors can explore the potential in the power and energy sector.

During the meeting, the state minister and the ambassadors discussed different issues related to ready-made garment export, pharmaceuticals and power and energy sectors.
