Mohammad Nasir Uddin Chowdhury, Director of LankaBangla Investments Limited, has been elected as the chairman of Bangladesh Merchant Bankers Association (BMBA), recently.
Newly elected members of the executive committee of the BMBA elected their president for the year 2018 and 2019 at a conference.
They also elected their first vice president, second vice president, secretary general and treasurer at the programme, according to a statement.
Md Nasir Uddin Chowdhury took the charge of the president at the conference formally.
Md Sayadur Rahman, ex-chairman of BMBA, presided over the meeting.
Mr Rahman expressed his gratitude to all members for their sincere cooperation during his incumbency and wished gradual upgradation of the BMBA.
Mohammad Nasir Uddin Chowdhury reminisced about the success of Sayedur Rahman’s leadership and praised highly of his contributions for the BMBA.
