Financial transaction using the Automated Teller Machine (ATM) crossed Tk 800 billion in the first eight months of the current fiscal year (FY18).
Statistics available with Bangladesh Bank revealed that total ATM transaction during July-February period of the current fiscal year stood at Tk 803.33 billion.
Some Tk 794.67 billion, which is 99 per cent of the total transaction, were withdrawn by the clients from different ATMs using debit cards.
Total number of ATMs across the country reached at 9,586 at the end of February this fiscal year, the central bank data showed.
