The number of covered van registration in the country stood at 925 alone in the first three months of the current calendar year, according to an official data.
Of the total, 745 covered vans were registered in Dhaka, according to Bangladesh Road Transport Authority (BRTA) statistics.
A total of 5,729 such vehicles were registered in 2018, while 5,176 in 2017, the transport regulator data showed.
The data also revealed that 32,097 of such mode of vehicles were registered until 2018.
