A nine-day SME product fair will kick off at Bangabandhu International Conference Centre (BICC) in the capital on Wednesday, aimed at promoting local products both in domestic and international markets.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is expected to inaugurate The National SME Product Fair 2020 at Krishibid Institution Bangladesh (KIB).
Apart from this, 66 per cent of women entrepreneur will participate in the fair this year.
Industries Minister Nurul Majid Mahmud Humayun made the disclosure at a press conference at SME Foundation headquarters in the city on Sunday.
Small & Medium Enterprise Foundation (SME Foundation) is going to organise the fair for the eighth time.
A total of 296 SME entrepreneurs, consisting of 195 women and 101 men, will showcase their products like jute goods, agriculture, food and leather products, electronic and electrical items.
Apart from this, the entrepreneurs will showcase light engineering products, handicrafts, plastic and synthetics items, and information technology, design and fashion products.
