A total of 43,128 motorcycles were registered in January 2020 across the country, official data showed.
Of the motorcycles, 8,903 were registered in Dhaka alone during the period, according to Bangladesh Road Transport Authority (BRTA) statistics.
The number of registered motorised vehicles in the country stood at 51,669 in the first month of this calendar year, the BRTA data showed.
The data also added that a total of 504,130 motorised vehicles were registered in 2019 while the number was 497,374 in the year before.
