25 int'l flights miss departure schedules at Shahjalal airport

About 25 international flights failed to meet their departure schedules at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport (HSIA) on Sunday.

From 12:00am to 12:00pm, those 25 international flights were late for 10 minutes to nearly two hours than their original departure times, said sources at Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh (CAAB).

Of them, BG 088 was scheduled to leave for Bangkok at 10:20am, but it departed at 11:12am, making a 52-minute late.

Another flight, BG 001, took off for Qatar at 11:57am, making one hour and 42 minutes delay.

A flight of Jet Airways was 20 minutes late when it left for Delhi at 10:25am.

Besides, from 12:00am to 12:00pm, at least 25 international flights landed the airport maintaining their arrival schedules, the sources added.
