Three 'Z' category companies were on top of the gainers list on Sunday on Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE).
The companies recently informed that there was no undisclosed price sensitive information for price hikes of the issues.
The companies which witnessed the highest price hikes were Meghna Pet Industries, Meghna Condensed Milk and Emerald Oil Industries.
Market insiders said investors should remain alert on such unhealthy development.
Of the companies, Meghna Pet Industries was the number one gainer, while Meghna Condensed Milk and Emerald Oil Industries secured the second and third position respectively in the gainers list.
The share price of Meghna Pet Industries Sunday rose 7.92 per cent to close at Tk 21.80 per share. The company's share price went by 30 per cent in last five sessions in a row. Recently, in response to a DSE query, the company informed there is no undisclosed price sensitive information of the company for recent unusual price hike.
The share trading Meghna Condensed Milk Industries closed at Tk 24.70 with a rise of 7.39 per cent or Tk 1.70 on Sunday. The company's share price rose 33 per cent in last six trading sessions in a row. In response to a DSE query, the company also informed there is no undisclosed price sensitive information of the company for recent unusual price hike.
The share price of Emerald Oil Industries went up by 7.03 per cent to close at Tk 19.70 on Sunday. The company recently was placed in 'Z' category, the trading platform of the worst-performing companies for not holding annual general meeting (AGM) in 2017.
