Hong Kong shares tick up after Wall Street slides

Hong Kong ticked up on Thursday, after overnight losses on Wall Street.

The Hang Seng Index was up 0.06 per cent at 30,342.53, while Chinese H-shares listed in Hong Kong fell 0.72 per cent to 12,343.8, reports Reuters.

The sub-index of the Hang Seng index tracking energy shares dipped 1.7 per cent, the IT sector rose 0.8 per cent.

The top gainer on Hang Seng was AAC Technologies Holdings Inc up 4.17 per cent.

The biggest loser was CNOOC Ltd which was down 2.05 per cent.
