Chinese shares close lower Friday

Chinese stocks closed lower Friday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index down 0.64 percent, at 2,891.34 points, Xinhua reports.

The Shenzhen Component Index closed 1.01 per cent lower at 9,647.99 points.
