Bangladesh Assocation of Publicly Listed Companies (BAPLC) has urged the Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC) to digitise the annual reports of the listed companies.
" We have made this proposal along with other proposals in a recent meeting between the newly-elected EC members and BSEC chairman Prof Khairul Hossain for the welfare of the country's stock market," a source of BAPLC told The FE.
The source said the BAPLC delegation, led by the newly-elected president Azam J Chowdhury stressed the need for enhancing the availability of market disclosures, so that investors can take informed and diligent decision on investing in various companies.
"If an investor likes to analyse the different financial aspects of a company, he or she must have the ready reference and a digitised archive can be a very effective tool in this regard," the BAPLC source said.
The BAPLC delegation during the meeting also discussed the fee of CDBL.
Senior officials of BSEC were also present in the meeting.
