Top 10 companies grabbed 33 per cent of the total turnover featured by Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) on Tuesday.
The premier bourse DSE featured a turnover of above Tk 4.48 billion which was 6.15 per cent less than the turnover of the previous session.
On Tuesday, Grameenphone featured a turnover of Tk 269 million and captured 6.0 per cent of the market turnover. The company's share trading closed at Tk 470.90 with a loss of 0.34 per cent or Tk 1.6.
Dragon Sweater and Spinning featured a turnover of Tk 193.6 million and captured 4.3 per cent of the market turnover. The company's share price declined 1.39 per cent or Tk 0.3 to close at Tk 21.30.
The share price of United Power Generation and Distribution Company (UPGDC) declined 14.73 per cent or Tk 28.60 to close at Tk 165.30. After record date, the company's share trading resumed on Tuesday and topped the DSE's top 10 losers' chart. The company featured a turnover of Tk 183.4 million and grabbed 4.1 per cent of the market turnover.
Square Pharmaceuticals captured 3.4 per cent of the market turnover after featuring a turnover of Tk 152.7 million. The company's share price rose 0.26 per cent or Tk 0.8 to close at Tk 303.90.
BRAC Bank featured a turnover of Tk 147.1 million and captured 3.3 per cent of the total transaction. The company's share trading closed at Tk 104.20 with a rise of 2.13 per cent or Tk 2.2.
Paramount Textile grabbed 3.0 per cent of the market turnover after featuring a turnover of Tk 134.7 million. The company's share price advanced 0.64 per cent to close at Tk 47.30.
Lafarge Surma Cement featured a turnover of Tk 108.7 million and grabbed 2.4 per cent of the total transaction. The company's share trading closed at Tk 66.10 per cent with a loss of 1.04 per cent or Tk 0.7.
Of other top turnover leaders, National Tubes, IFAD Autos and Alif Manufacturing Company featured a transaction ranging from Tk 90.2 million to Tk 105 million. The companies' contribution in market turnover was between 2.0 per cent and 2.3 per cent.
