Small-cap companies dominated the weekly gainers' chart of the Dhaka bourse following investors' increased participation in those shares in the outgoing week.
The share prices of top 10 gainers of the week advanced up to 22.84 per cent on the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE).
Dragon Sweater and Spinning saw the highest price appreciation of 22.84 per cent to close at Tk 19.90 each on Thursday, the last day of the outgoing week.
The company posted a total turnover of Tk 551.66 million during the week on the premier bourse.
Crown Cement saw the second highest price appreciation and closed at Tk 74.60 each on Thursday, registering a rise of 21.30 per cent.
During the week, the company logged a total turnover of Tk 30.25 million.
Apex Spinning & Knitting Mills saw a rise of 16.60 per cent in share price and it closed at Tk 172.19 each on Thursday.
The company posted a turnover of Tk 423.93 million on the premier bourse during the week.
The share price of ADN Telecom jumped 11.89 per cent to close at Tk 57.40 each on Thursday, grabbing a total turnover of Tk 320.68 million.
Pacific Denims saw a rise of 11.76 per cent in share price, ending at Tk 13.30 each on Thursday.
During the week, the company logged a total turnover of Tk 227.31 million on the DSE.
The share price of Zahintex Industries advanced 9.33 per cent to close at Tk 8.20 each on Thursday.
Of other top gainers, the share price of Shurwid Industries gained 9.20 per cent, Zaheen Spinning 8.89 per cent, Monno Agro & General Machinery 7.50 per cent, and Delta Spinners 7.07 per cent on the premier bourse.
