Ten most traded companies accounted for 26 per cent transactions of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) on Tuesday.
Ring Shine Textiles topped the chart.
Market analysts said investors continued their selling binge on newly-listed Ring Shine shares amid bearish market outlook. Its share price fell 18.67 per cent in two days after debut.
The newly-traded company continued to fall sending its stock prices 8.21 per cent down to close at Tk 12.20 on Tuesday, which is nearly its offer price of Tk 10 each.
The Ring Shine is the first company which made debut after the securities regulator imposed circuit breaker for all new securities from the debut trading day to prevent unusual price surge.
On the debut trading, the company's share soared 50 per cent to close at Tk 15 on Thursday last, from its issue price of Tk 10, the highest allowable price limit on debut day.
The textile company raised a fund worth Tk 1.50 billion from the capital market by floating 150 million ordinary shares at an offer price of Tk 10 each using the fixed price method.
According to the DSE data, some 12.49 million shares of Ring Shine were traded, generating a turnover of nearly Tk 157 million, which was 5.58 per cent of the day's total turnover of Tk 2.81 billion.
The company's paid-up capital is Tk 4.35 billion and authorised capital is Tk 4.40 billion while total number of securities is 435.05 million.
The sponsor-directors own 31.54 per cent stake in the company, while institutional investors own 25.01 per cent and the general public 43.44 per cent as of November 30, 2019, the DSE data showed.
Beacon Pharma came second on the turnover chart, with shares worth Tk 133 million changing hands. The company's share rose 5.0 per cent to close at Tk 39.90 each.
Square Pharma clinched the third spot, with shares worth Tk 71 million changing hands. The company's share closed at Tk 186.80, losing 2.0 per cent over the previous day.
Standard Ceramic emerged fourth, with shares worth Tk 60 million changing hands. The company's share price advanced 4.60 per cent to close at Tk 664.80 each.
Brac Bank notched the fifth spot, with shares worth Tk 56 million changing hands. The bank's price closed at Tk 56.60 each, losing 0.35 per cent.
The turnover of Khulna Power was Tk 55 million. The power generation company's price fell 3.98 per cent to close at Tk 41.20 each.
Genex Infosys featured a turnover of Tk 52 million. The company's share price closed at Tk 63.80, losing 3.39 per cent.
The turnover of Bangladesh National Insurance was Tk 47 million. The company's share price closed at Tk 24.90 each, remaining unchanged over the previous session.
National Tubes featured a turnover of Tk 44 million. The state-run company's share price closed at Tk 117 each, losing 3.71 per cent.
Grameenphone also made its way to the day's top turnover chart, with shares worth Tk 43 million changing hands. The company's share fell 2.63 per cent to close at Tk 291.10 each.
