Two more listed companies- Pragati Insurance and National Housing Finance, and Investments have recommended dividends for the year ended on December 31, 2019, according to official disclosures on Sunday.
Pragati Insurance: The board of directors of the company has recommended a 22 per cent cash dividend for the year ended on December 31, 2019.
The annual general meeting will be held on September 23 at 11:30 am through a digital platform.
The record date is August 24.
The company has also reported EPS of Tk. 3.19, NAV per share of Tk. 50.63 and NOCFPS of Tk. 5.57 for the year ended on December 31, 2019 as against Tk. 3.02, Tk. 53.05 and Tk. 0.61 respectively for the same period of the previous year.
There will be no price limit on the trading of the shares of the Company today following its corporate declaration; however, as per the BSEC Order dated March 19, 2020, the floor price shall be applicable accordingly.
Each share of the company, which was listed on the Dhaka bourse in 1996, closed at Tk 36.20 on Thursday.
The company’s paid-up capital is Tk 655.90 million, authorised capital is Tk 2.0 billion and the total number of securities is 65.59 million.
The sponsor-directors own 38.10 per cent stake in the company, while the institutional investors 29.18 per cent and the general public 32.72 per cent as on June 30, 2020.
National Housing Finance: The board of directors has recommended a 10 per cent cash dividend for the year ended on December 31, 2019.
The AGM will be held on September 20 at 12:00 noon through a digital platform. The record date is August 18.
The company has also reported EPS of Tk. 2.02, NAV per share of Tk. 16.17 and NOCFPS of Tk. (30.04) for the year ended on December 31, 2019 as against Tk. 2.36 (restated), Tk. 15.16 (restated) and Tk. 23.73 (restated) respectively for the same period of the previous year.

The sponsor-directors own 60.79 per cent stake in the company, while the government owns 9.34 per cent, institutional investors 10.51 per cent and the general public 19.36 per cent as on June 30, 2020.
