NBR honours Islami Bank CEO

The National Board of Revenue (NBR) has honoured Managing Director and CEO of Islami Bank Bangladesh Md Abdul Hamid Miah as the highest tax payer in the banking sector.

Fazle Kabir, Governor of Bangladesh Bank, handed over a crest to Abdul Hamid for the bank being highest taxpayer in the banking sector in 2016-2017 tax year in a programme on Tuesday.

Md Alamgir Hossain, Taxes Commissioner of Large Taxpayer Unit of NBR, was presided over the programme, according to a press release.

Nazibur Rahman, Senior Secretary of Internal Resources Division and Chairman of National Board of Revenue and Md Abdur Razzaque, Member of Taxes Administration and Human Resources Management of NBR, were also present in the occasion.
