The National Life Insurance Company Limited will hold a meeting of board of directors on July 29 where the insurer likely to recommend dividend for the year ended on December 31, 2018.
The board meeting will be held on July 29, 2019 at 3:30pm to consider, among others, audited financial statements of the company for the year ended on December 31, 2018, said an official disclosure.
The meeting will also be considered, among others, un-audited financial statements of the company for the first quarter (Q1) period ended on March 31, 2019 and second quarter (Q2) period ended on June 30, 2019, the discourse said on Monday.
The National Life, which was listed on the DSE in 1995, disbursed 20 per cent cash and 15 per cent stock dividend for the year ended on December 31, 2017.
Each share of the life insurer traded between Tk 262.50 and Tk 271.90, before closing at Tk 265.20 each on Monday at Dhaka Stock Exchange.
The company’s paid-up capital is about Tk 1.08 billion, authorised capital is Tk 2.0 billion and the total number of securities is 108.52 million.
The sponsor-directors own 82.65 per cent stake in the company, while institutional investors own 10.92 per cent and the general public 6.43 per cent as of June 30, 2019.
