Listed IT companies registered mixed performance in the growth of EPS (earnings per share) for January-March, 2022 (Q3) compared to the same period of the previous year.
Of 11 listed IT companies, the EPS of six advanced while four registered negative growth for the Q3, 2022 compared to same quarter of the previous year.
The companies which saw rises in EPS are aamra technologies, BDCOM Online, Daffodil Computers, eGeneration, and Information Services Network, and IT Consultants.
The companies whose EPS declined for the Q3, 2022 compared to the same quarter of the previous year are aamra networks, ADN Telecom, Agni Systems and Genex Infosys.
aamra technologies saw 63.63 per cent rise in EPS to close at Tk. 0.36 for January-March 2022 against Tk. 0.22 for January-March 2021.
In a disclosure, the company said its operating and financial expenses were changed slightly and that's why the EPS has increased significantly.
BDCOM Online saw 35.71 per cent rise in EPS to close at Tk. 0.38 for January-March 2022 against Tk. 0.28 for January-March 2021.
"The EPS has increased mainly due to increase of revenue and decrease of administrative and marketing expenses," the company said in a disclosure.
The EPS of Daffodil Computers was Tk. 0.18 for January-March 2022 with a rise of 12.5 per cent from Tk. 0.16 for January-March 2021.
eGeneration has reported an EPS of Tk. 0.40 for January-March 2022 as against Tk. 0.38 for January-March 2021.
IT Consultants saw 42.10 per cent growth in EPS to close at Tk. 0.54 for January-March 2022 against Tk. 0.38 for January-March 2021.
Information Services Network saw a sharp rise in EPS to close at Tk. 0.17 for January-March 2022 against Tk. 0.01 for January-March 2021.
