The Farmers Bank is trying to make its operation sound and safe for all concerned, said the bank’s top executive on Saturday.
The bank managing director and chief executive officer (CEO) Md Ehsan Khasru said “The bank is now on the process of making it safe to safer for the customers, employees and shareholders.”
He came up with the remark while inaugurating the Professional Learning Course for Trainee Assistant Officers at Mirpur in the capital.
Khasru said, the clients are getting online banking facilities at all branches across the country.
The learning course was organised as part of the bank’s restructuring process, which was initiated by the new management after they took over its operations following changes in its ownership in recent months.
As part of the plan, the bank has already made a move to change its name and expand its branches across the country.
A total of 256 officers from the bank’s 57 branches and its head office will take part in the learning course in four phases.
65 officers participated at the training programme in the first phase.
