The Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) has recommended 5.0 per cent cash dividend for its shareholders for the year ended on June 30, 2019.
The board of directors of the premier bourse recommended the dividend on Monday at a board meeting held at the DSE office.
The company will hold its annual general meeting (AGM) on December 30 to take the shareholders' approval on the dividend and audited financial statement, among others.
The EPS (earnings per share) of the DSE declined marginally for the fiscal year (FY) 2019 compared to previous FY.
The premier bourse has reported its EPS of Tk 0.54 for the year ended on June 30, 2019 against Tk 0.58 reported for same period of the previous year.
DSE chairman professor Abul Hashem chaired the Monday's board meeting attended by other independent and shareholder directors.
Meanwhile, the DSE took another decision on Monday to observe the 'Mujib Centenary' in 2020 through year-long programmes.
In this regard, the premier bourse formed a 10-member committee for holding the programmes.
DSE chairman professor Abul Hashem is the convener of the committee, while the DSE director Md. Rakibur Rahman is the co-convener.
The members of the committee are DSE directors Justice Siddiqur Rahman Miah, Monowara Hakim Ali, professor M Kaykobad, professor Md. Masudur Rahman, Brigadier General Md. Mostafizur Rahman, Md. Hanif Bhuiya, Minhaz Mannan Emon and managing director (in-charge) Abdul Matin Patwary.
