The securities regulator has cancelled the proposal of issuing stock dividend by Dominage Steel Building Systems.
The company sought regulatory consent on 5.0 per cent stock dividend earlier recommended for the year ended on June 30, 2021.
Apart from the stock dividend, the company also recommended 5.0 per cent cash dividend (other than sponsor-directors) for the same time period and both the dividends were approved by the shareholders in the 15th Annual General Meeting (AGM).
Following the BSEC's notification dated August 31, 2021 an application was made to the securities regulator for final approval of stock dividend dated January 05, 2022, said a disclosure posted on the website of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE).
As per the BSEC's notification, the listed companies are required to take the commission's consent for issuing bonus shares in some cases mentioned in the notification.
Another disclosure said, Dominage Steel Building Systems has been placed in 'B' category from existing 'A' category with effect from today (February 23) as the company has disbursed 5.0 per cent cash dividend for the year ended on June 30, 2021.
