Deadline for taking part in the first ever Inter-University Capital Market Case Competition, jointly organised by Bangladesh Institute of Capital Market (BICM) and Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), is approaching.
The under-graduate and graduate-level students from different universities of the country are eligible to participate in the case competition.
The registration for the competition opened on September 20 and it is scheduled to close on October 5, 2018. The last date of submission of the cases is, however, October 6, 2018.
Qualified teams will be invited to join a day-long workshop in BICM before appearing in the semi-final or second round on October 15, 2018. In the workshop, academics and experts will discuss the capital market-related issues with the competitors to give them some better understanding on the market.
Later, eight top teams will be selected from the second round for the final round and they will present their cases before the panel of judges.
The champion team will receive Tk 100,000 in prize money, while the first and the second runner-up will get Tk 50,000 and Tk 25,000 respectively.
Moreover, all the members of the finalist teams will get opportunities to do their internship in BICM. The institute will also provide a free certificate course to the members of the semi-finalist team.
A gala dinner and prize giving ceremony will take place on October 16. Finance Minister A M A Muhith is likely to be present at the event as the chief guest.
