CSE arranges event on trading of govt securities

Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) Limited arranged an in-house training programme on Thursday at its conference hall on "Trading of Government Securities in the Secondary Platform of the Exchange" for executives of the bourse to enhance their skill.

In the inaugural session, Mr. Mamun Ur Rashid, Managing Director, CSE, said if government securities are listed, the depth of the stock market will be enhanced to attract investors.

Mr. Mohammed Nazrul Islam, Deputy Director, Supervision & Regulation of Markets & Issuer Companies (SRMIC), Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC), conducted the training programme.

"To build a strong financial market, BSEC and BB feel to work together to harmonise financial market indices to meet the SDG target 2030," he said.

A total of 35 executives attended the event, according to a media release.
