The board of directors of the City Bank has recommended 6.0 per cent cash and 5.0 per cent stock dividend for the year ended on December 31, 2018.
The bank will hold its annual general meeting (AGM) on June 26 while the record date for entitlement of dividend is May 12.
It has also reported consolidated earnings per share (EPS) of Tk 2.30, down 35.57 per cent over the previous year.
The bank's consolidated EPS was Tk 3.57 for the year ended on December 31, 2017.
The City Bank has also reported consolidated NAV per share of Tk 25.74 and consolidated NOCFPS of Tk 14.29 for the year ended on December 31, 2018 as against Tk 28.40 and Tk (4.60), a negative value, respectively for the same period of the previous year.
The bank's consolidated EPS, however, rose for January-March period of 2019, compared to same quarter of the previous year.
The consolidated EPS was Tk 0.79 for January-March 2019 as against Tk 0.38 for January-March 2018.
The consolidated NAV per share was Tk 26.20 as on March 31, 2019 and Tk 25.74 as on December 31, 2018.
The bank had disbursed 19 per cent cash and 5.0 per cent stock dividend for the year ended on December 31, 2017.
The share price of City Bank closed at Tk 24.10 each on Thursday, registering a decline of 0.82 per cent or Tk 0.20 over the previous day.
City Bank, presently an 'A' category company, was listed with the stock exchanges in 1986.
The bank's sponsor-directors hold 30.29 per cent shares, institutes 21.07 per cent, foreign shareholders 12.47 per cent and general shareholders 36.17 per cent as of March 31, 2019.
