Top 10 companies grabbed 35.3 per cent of the total turnover featured by Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) on Monday.
The premier bourse DSE witnessed a sharp correction and featured a turnover of Tk 4.77 billion. BRAC Bank topped the turnover chart with a value of Tk 406 million. The company grabbed 8.5 per cent of the total turnover featured by the DSE. The company's share price declined 1.24 per cent to close at Tk 103.10 per share on Monday.
BRAC Bank reported its consolidated EPS of Tk 1.76 for July-September, 2017 as against Tk 1.03 for July-September, 2016. The consolidated NAV per share was Tk 29.64 as on September 30, 2017.
Paramount Textile featured a turnover of Tk 175 million and grabbed 3.7 per cent of the market turnover. The company's share trading closed at Tk 46.70 with a rise of 3.52 per cent or Tk 1.6 per share on Monday.
City Bank featured a turnover of Tk 166 million which was 3.5 per cent of the turnover featured by the premier bourse DSE. The company's share price declined 3.17 per cent to close at Tk 48.80 on the day.
IFAD Autos posted a turnover of Tk 163 million and captured 3.4 per cent of the market turnover. The company's share price declined 1.66 per cent to close at Tk 130.80.
National Tubes captured 2.9 per cent of the turnover on DSE. The company's share price declined 1.78 per cent to close at Tk 139.50 per share.
The share trading of Alif Manufacturing Company closed at Tk 23.50 with a loss of 4.10 per cent or Tk 1.0. The company featured a turnover of Tk 136 million and grabbed 2.9 per cent of the market turnover.
Of other turnover leaders, Grameenphone, Dragon Sweater and Spinning, Lafarge Surma Cement and Square Pharmaceuticals featured turnover ranging from Tk 115 million to Tk 134 million. The companies' contribution in market turnover varied from 2.4 per cent to 2.8 per cent.
