Uphill task ahead for Tigers

West Indies posted a commanding score of 321 for 8 in their stipulated 50 overs against Bangladesh in their World Cup match at Taunton on Monday.

Earlier, after being put in to bat, the West Indies make a careful start, losing one wicket in the first 10 overs.

However, some big innings and hitting by their top and middle order batsmen and wasteful bowling by Bangladesh helped the Caribbeans to post the big total.

Shai Hope, as usual, top scored for West Indies against Bangladesh with 96 runs.

Evin Lewis made a quick fire 70 to help West Indies maintain a healthy run rate while Hetmyer 50 off 20 balls.

Skipper Holder also chipped in with a useful contribution of 33 off 15 deliveries.

Mustafizur Rahman took 3 wickets for 59 runs while Saifuddin tool 3 wickets for 72.

Shakib Al Hasan took the other 2 wickets for 54 runs.
