Afghanistan posted a good score of 255 for 7 wickets in stipulated 50 overs in their final Group B match against Bangladesh in Unimoni Asia Cup 2018 at Dubai on Thursday.
Earlier, after winning the toss and electing to bat first, Afghanistan were in hot soup losing two quick wickets within six overs.
However, some good innings by their middle order batsmen and lofty hitting by lower order batsmen helped the Afghans to put the formidable score.
Shahidi scored 58 while Rashid Khan hit 57 off just 32 deliveries that helped Afghanistan put bu the defendable score.
Gulbadin Naib also chipped in with 42.
Shakib took 4 wickets for 42 runs while Hider took 2 for 50 for the Tigers.
