Bangladesh restricted Zimbabwe to 170 in the opening ODI match in the Tri-Nation Series at Dhaka’s Sher-e-Bangla Stadium.
The hosts won the toss and their decision to field gave immediate result as all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan took two wickets in the opening over.
But the Zimbabwean batting order mounted a stubborn defence led by middle-order batsman Sikandar Raza, who fetched a slow but steady 52 before being run out, reports bdnews24.
He was supported by a PJ Moor, who put up a respectable 33.
Shakib picked up three wickets, while Mustafur Rahman and Rubel Hossain picked up two each.
