Shinepukur Cricket Club on Monday beat Legends of Rupganj by five wickets in the inaugural match of Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League (DPDCL) T20 at Fatullah's Khan Saheb Osman Ali Stadium, reports UNB.
All-rounder Shuvagata Hom struck 32 off 10 deliveries with two fours and three sixes to help Shinepukur secure victory.
The match was reduced to 13 overs each side due to rain. Shinepukur won the toss and sent Rupganj to bat first who posted 115/5.
Former national captain Shahriar Nafees struck 46 off 24 deliveries for Rupganj while wicketkeeper-batsman Salahuddin Pappu (14) and Mohammad Naim (19) also contributed with the bat.
Sujon Hawladar and Sohrawordi Shuvo bagged two wickets each for Shinepukur.
While replying, Shinepukur chased down the target in 12.3 overs. Apart from Shuvagata's fiery knock, Sabbir Hossain scored 32 off 25 balls as well. Shinepukur finished 117/5.
