Indian captain Virat Kohli endured a rare fate in Tests as he was removed by Abu Jayed Rahi for a duck in the first session of Indore Test.

However, India are continuing on high as they surpassed Bangladesh’s first innings total and secured a 38-run lead till the lunch of day-1 of the first Test of two-match series against Bangladesh.

At day-2 lunch, India were batting at 188 for three in 54 overs, with Mayank Agarwal and Anikya Rahane were batting on 91 and 35 respectively.

All three wickets that India have lost in this game so far were taken by Abu Jayed. The right-arm pacer has been doing well in the match. Bangladesh, however, are desperately missing a third-seamer in their first World Test Championship match, according to a UNB report.

India ended day-1 on 86 for 1. They resumed carefully, but still lost two wickets in the first session of day-2.

Before Virat’s dismissal, Abu Jayed removed Cheteshwar Pujara who was looking to get dangerous at 54 off 72 with nine boundaries. Saif Hassan, the substitute fielder, took an easy catch to remove Pujara.

Earlier, Bangladesh were wrapped up only for 150/10 in 58.3 overs. They were hammered by one of the best pace-attacks of the world right now- Ishant Sharma, Mohammad Shami, and UmeshYadav.

While Shami bagged three wickets conceding only 27 runs, Ishant and Umesh scalped two wickets each, and spinner Ravichandran Ashwin hunted two wickets as well.

Before heading to this Test, Bangladesh lost the three-match T20Is series to the hosts 2-1. Despite winning the first game, they failed to replicate the same performance in the last two matches, and thus they cost the series.
