President M Abdul Hamid and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina greeted the members of Bangladesh Under-15 Women's Football team for achieving victory against India in inaugural edition of the SAFF U-15 Women's Championship at Bir Shrestha Shaheed Sepoy Mohammad Mostafa Kamal Stadium in the city's Kamalapur.
In a message, Abdul Hamid also congratulated the players, coaches of the team and its technical and administrative staff for winning the final match.
The President hoped that the women footballers would continue their success in the days ahead, the message read.
In a congratulatory message, the Prime Minister greeted all the players, coach and officials of the girls' football team for becoming unbeaten champion in the SAFF Under-15 Women's Championship.
"The whole nation is proud of seeing the team spirit of our players and their outstanding performance," she said.
Sheikh Hasina hoped that the winning spree of the girls' football team will continue in the future, reports BSS.
Earlier, Bangladesh U-15 girls’ team became unbeaten champions in the tournament by beating India 1-0 goal in the final at Bir Shreshtha Shaheed Sepoy Mostafa Kamal Stadium in the city earlier in the day.
