The 4th Inter-University Badminton Tournament will begin on February 15 on the East West University (EWU) campus in the capital, reports UNB.
About 100 teams from 40 universities will participate in the four-day tournament with the logistics support of Bangladesh Badminton Federation.
KRAKO, a snacks brand of PRAN Foods Limited, is sponsoring the 'East West University Winter Smash-2019'.
"We have been involved with the tournament for the third time to make badminton more popular in Bangladesh," PRAN Foods Limited Chief Operating Officer Saiful Islam Shikder told a media briefing at PRAN Center, Badda in the city on Monday.
"The aim of KRAKO is to work with country's young generation and help them flourish their talents."
EWU Assistant Professor and Moderator of the University's Sports Club ASM Ashif said, "The EWU Winter Smash is the biggest inter-university badminton tournament in the country."
General Manager of PRAN Foods Limited Ali Hasan Alam said, "The tournament has received huge response from the youth. We hope PRAN KRAKO will be more popular among the all class including the youths."
