For the past few years, the cricketers of Bangladesh National Team have been playing in the foreign T20 leagues.
Shakib, Tamim, and others have been regularly playing in leagues outside of the country.
This is about to be changed as the Bangladesh Cricket Board decided that the players will only be allowed to play in two foreign leagues each year.
BCB chief executive Nizamuddin Chowdhury said the decision came to ensure the participation of the cricketers in all matches of the national team.
This will be ensured that the players get adequate rest over the year and do not fall to injury. BCB does not want its national team players to miss international matches.
This decision will affect Shakib the most. In the tournament like IPL, Big Bash, CPL, PSL, Shakib will have to choose between any two leagues.
BCB has decided to send the decision to the cricketers through the mail. The letter also
includes that it is mandatory for the cricketers to play in the domestic league.
The board has decided to start this rule by Tuesday.
