Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) chief selector Minhajul Abedin Nannu will serve as the team manager of the Tigers for the tour of South Africa, reports UNB.
BCB assigned Nannu as team manager as Khaled Mahmud Sujon expressed unwillingness to serve showing personal reason.
"I'll be in the role of team manager, BCB has decided, as Sujon could not go," Nannu said to reporters at Miprur in the city on Thursday. The Tigers are expected to leave for South Africa today (Saturday) to play two Tests, three ODIs and two T20Is against the Proteas.
The Tigers will start their campaign in South Africa with a three-day tour match (September 21-23) against the South Africa Invitation XI at Willowmoore Park, Benoni.
