Sri Lanka beat Bangladesh by 75 runs to complete a clean sweep in the T20i series at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium on Sunday.
This is the first time the Sylhet stadium has hosted an international cricket match.
With the win the Lankans won the two-match T20 series 2-0.
Earlier, after losing the toss and being put in to bat first, Sri Lanka posted a commanding score of 210 for four wickets in stipulated 20 overs.
Kusal Mendis posted the highest score for the visiting team with 70 runs (42b, 6X4, 3X6).
Gunathilaka scored 42 runs (37b, 3X4, 2X6) while Thisara Perera made 31 (17b; 3x4; 1x6).
Debutant Jayed, Mustafizur, Saifuddin and Soumya took one wicket apiece.
In reply, Bangladesh crumbled under the pile of runs being all out for 135 runs in 18.4 overs. .
T20 skipper Mahmudullah top scored for the Bangladeshis with 41 (31b, 4X4, 1X6) while Tamim made 29 (23b, 2X4,2X6).
Kushal Mendis was adjudged Player of the Match and Player of the Seriesl.
