Germany humiliatingly crashed out of the World Cup with a 2-0 loss to South Korea on Wednesday in Kazan of Russia, failing to even advance to the knockout round.

Defending world champions Germany, inert in its attack all World Cup long, took 26 shots but mostly failed to trouble South Korean goalkeeper Jo Hyeon-Woo, reports New York Times.

In the other Group F match, Sweden defeated Mexico 3-0 to advance on top of the group, while Mexico also advanced thanks to the South Korean victory.
