Cost-effective options in this transfer window

The transfer window is open and lots of activities are going on around the football world. Big money moves are being made by the big clubs, also some smart deals are there.

The modern transfer market is inflated and players are going for mammoth fees. Amidst the inflated market, players who are out of contract can be signed for free, but if the player is having a year or so left on his contract, he could be snapped up for a cut-price.

The first player who can be mentioned is Marcus Rashford. After breaking out in 2016, Rashford has proved himself to be a great talent featuring regularly for Manchester United in the Premier League and getting a good enough goal return.

But with him having a year left on his contract and new manager Erik Ten Hag taking the helm, it wouldn’t be surprising if he would want out this season.

Next up is Fabian Ruiz. The 26-year-old Napoli midfielder has been targeted by Manchester City and Juventus after 11 goal involvements last season from central midfield and earning a reputation for being the best ball-playing midfielder in Serie A.

The French forward Moussa Dembele is also on our list. After a torrid start to his life at Athletico Madrid, Moussa Dembele moved to Lyon and has impressed last season. He scored 21 goals and put 4 assists in Ligue 1. Other than goal contributions, his attacking threat is also exceptional with 0.7 expected goals per 90, just behind Messi, Neymar and Mbappe.

Milan Skriniar, a defender who features on our list has had a steep rise in world football. With a rigid defensive record, he has a phenomenal fitness record. Other than that, a good carrier of the ball and also good in the air, Milan Skriniar has been strongly linked with French giants PSG. Wouldn’t come as a surprise though looking at the value he brings to the club.

Serge Gnabry has been linked to the biggest clubs in Europe after a solid career at Bayern Munich. A player who is an elite dribbler, someone who likes to take accurate shots and a player with express pace, Serge Gnabry looks tailor-made for any big club in Europe.

Currently valued at 65 million Euros, Gnabry can be snubbed for a cheaper price. It remains to be seen if the player is interested in leaving Bavaria and its guaranteed success for some other club.

Lastly, a done deal of Sadio Mane. According to reports, the transfer costs 32 million Euros with 8 million Euros in potential add ons. A huge signing for Bayern Munich, who got the player only because of his ending contract situation.
