Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has increased the match fees, allowances and other benefits for the first-class cricketers, reports UNB.
The BCB decision will come into effect from the ongoing National Cricket League (NCL).
The match fees of the players was raised to Tk 60,000 from Tk 35000 (Tier-one) and Tk 50000 from 25000 (Tire-two).
It means the match fee has increased up to 100 per cent for Tier-two and 71 per cent for Tier-one.
The BCB increased the daily allowances and travel allowances as well.
Previously, first-class cricketers were given BDT 1,500 and Tk 2,500 as daily allowance and travel allowance respectively. Now they will get BDT 2,500 as daily allowance and air ticket for travel or BDT 3,500 as travel allowance.
Besides, the allocation for team accommodation and match-day catering was raised up to 85 per cent.
In a press release on Monday, BCB also said that air-conditioned buses will be provided for the movement of the players between venues and team hotels.
In a recent movement, the top-cricketers of Bangladesh came up with an 11-point demand including increase of match fee and other facilities for the first-class cricket.
The players called a strike on October 21, and it was called off two days later as the BCB agreed to meet the demands of the cricketers.
