Barcelona sent their Sporting Director Robert Fernandez to watch Anthony Martial in Man Utd’s 1-0 win over Benfica on Wednesday
The Catalans have been tracking down the French winger since he was at Monaco and have been linked with again in recent months.
Fernandez travelled to Lisbon on Wednesday to witness a 15-minute cameo from Martial, who replaced Marcus Rashford late on, says a report on Metro UK citing Mundo Deportivo.
Martial is seen as an ideal target for Barca who are still looking to reinforce the left side of their attack following Neymar’s move to Paris Saint-Germain.
Although they signed a replacement in Ousmane Dembele, the winger plays predominantly on the right wing and has been sidelined for several months.
The appeal of Martial is boosted by his relative lack of starts at United, with Rashford still seemingly ahead of him in the pecking order, and Barca are hopeful they could tempt him away.
