Bangladesh wins series with one match to spare

A superb four-wicket haul by Mehidy Hasan Miraz and a gritty half-century from captain Tamim Iqbal have fired Bangladesh to a comprehensive seven-wicket win in the second ODI against the West Indies in Dhaka, with the Tigers taking an unassailable 2-0 lead in the series.

After Bangladesh was asked to field on a sunny day in Dhaka, Miraz took four for 25 while Mustafizur Rahman and Shakib Al Hasan bagged two wickets apiece to skittle out the visitors for 149 at the Sher-e-Bangla Stadium on Friday, reports bdnews24.com.

Chasing a measly target, Tamim sensibly led from the front by cracking 50 off 76 balls, including three boundaries and a six, before Shakib Al Hasan (43 not out) and Mushfiqur Rahim (9 not out) calmly guided the hosts to the series win with a match to spare.
