Australia have won the fourth game of the five-match T20 International series by three wickets, making the score-line 3-1 in the series.

Chasing a really low target of 105, Australia started real quick. Dan Christian was on fire in his innings of  39 (15), which included five sixes from an over of Shakib Al Hasan.

However, Australia wobbled midway losing 5 wickets within 18 runs that made things interesting. But Agar’s 27(27) proved to be the match-saving innings. Andrew Tye scored the winning runs with 1 over remaining and Australia got something to relief.

Bangladesh might blame the captaincy for today’s loss. Maybe nobody can answer how Shakib get to complete 4 overs after being so expensive in the first three, or why Mustafiz was not brought earlier to keep the game in hand especially to take Agar’s wicket who eventually took the game away from Bangladesh. Even Shoriful was good with the ball who couldn’t complete his quota.

Bangladesh, Mahedi and Mustafiz picked 2 wickets while Nasum and Shoriful got 1 each.

Mitchell Swepson won the man of the match award for his excellent bowling that helped Australia restrict Bangladesh within that short total.

Earlier, Bangladesh batted first after winning the toss. They had a miserable performance with the bat once again. Naim’s slow 28(36), Mahdi’s 23 (16) and Afif’s 20(17) were the only Bangladeshi scores worth mentioning.  Swepson and Tye took 3 wickets each for Australia, Hazlewood picked 2 and Agar picked 1.
