Bangladesh escape whitewash, win last ODI against Zimbabwe

Bangladesh won the last game of three-match One Day International (ODI) series by 105 runs against Zimbabwe at Harare Sports Club on Wednesday.

With the consolation win, the visitors escaped a whitewash as the hosts won two previous matches of the series.

Batting first after losing the toss, Bangladesh set a target of 257 runs for Zimbabwe in the match, riding on half-centuries from Anamul Haque (76) and Afif Hossain (85) to post 256 for nine, according to bdnews24.com.

In reply, the hosts collapsed to 83 for nine before Richard Ngarava (34) and Victor Nyauchi (27) put up a last stand before folding for 151 in 32.2 overs.

Mustafiur Rahman produced a wily spell with the ball to help Bangladesh crush Zimbabwe by 105 runs to earn the consolation win.
