Bangladesh clinched their first gold in the third Islamic Solidarity Sports Federation (ISSF) International Solidarity World Ranking Archery Championship, defeating India in compound women’s team event at the Shaheed Ahsanullah Master Stadium in Tongi today ( Tuesday).
Some 148 archers from 25 countries are taking part in the four-day tournament for 10 gold medals – five each for men’s and women’s – through ranking and elimination rounds.
A 16-member archer team is representing hosts Bangladesh.
