Afghanistan posted 128 runs for the loss of 4 wickets in 30 overs in their final Group B match against Bangladesh in Unimoni Asia Cup 2018 at Dubai on Thursday.
Earlier, after winning the toss and electing to bat first, Afghanistan were in hot soup losing two quick wickets within six overs.
However, a 51-run partnership between Shahzad and Shahidi somewhat steadied their innings.
At one point the Afghans looked set, but the introduction of Shakib Al Hasan again swayed the match in Bangladesh’s way.
Shenwari and Shahidi were at the crease on 14 and 47 respectively while Shahzad scored 37 runs.
Hider and Shakib took 2 wickets each.
The winner of this match will top the group.
