Millennium Information Solution Limited (MISL), a software company for Islamic banking and finance in Bangladesh, has won the ‘Technology Provider of the Year’ GOLD Award.
The award was announced at the 5th Islamic Finance Forum for South Asia (IFFSA), a conference of Islamic financial industry, hosted virtually from Colombo recently, said a press release issued in Dhaka.
The awards are open to all Islamic financial institutions and service providers in South Asia. The awards recognise the contributions made by individuals or institutions to the industry in the region.
This year, MISL has been awarded the highest honour ‘GOLD Award’ for its outstanding contributions as a software provider for Islamic banking and finance institutions, the press release said.
Mahmud Hosaain, Managing Director and CEO of MISL accepted the award on behalf of his team.
Dr Aishath Muneeza, an Associate Professor of INCEIF Malaysia, and the first female deputy minister of Islamic affairs, the Maldives, addressed as a guest of honour at the gathering which was also attended by around 50 distinguished guests from five countries of the region. UTO EduConsult from Sri Lanka has been hosting the IFFSA conference for the last five years.
