Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez is expected to call a snap national election for April 28.
The announcement would come on Friday, after losing a key budget vote, reports Reuters quoting the daily El Pais.
Sanchez took office in June last year after the previous conservative government was ousted in a no-confidence vote.
