A Palestinian man has been killed in a clash that broke out between Palestinians and Israeli forces in Palestine’s’ north West Bank city Jenin, sources said Thursday.

The operation, including gunfire between Palestinians and the Israeli counter terrorism unit and the Israeli security Shabak, led to the injury of two Israeli soldiers and lasted overnight until the early hours of Thursday dawn.

The Israeli forces withdrew from the Wadi Burqin, west of Jenin city, at dawn after demolishing four houses belonging to a family, says a Xinhua news agency report.

Israel says the family members are "terrorists" who shot dead an Israeli man on Jan 9.

Israeli police spokesperson Supt Micky Rosenfeld said that the operation in Jenin came to locate "terrorists" who are believed to have carried out the shooting attack that left Rabbi Raziel Shevach dead near Hafat Gilad settlement in the north of the West Bank.
